Well, it’s the second set of chapters, which – based on the past five or so books we’ve read – means it’s time for us to start being disappointed with the book! Hmmm… but wait, it’s still good? So good that it inspired Jane to form a complete and unified theory of the Riordanverse? Cool! This week, we discuss refreshing boys, love triangles that we don’t hate, the war Octavian should’ve started, the Batman v. Superman of stakes, the vacuum that is Coach Hedge, sub and domme antagonists, gigachads, and what is and isn’t too political for Rick Riordan to touch.
